Can you arrange pre & post tour accommodation?
Golden Chariot does not include the cost of accommodation for pre and post tour. Our guests are advised to book at the very least a day’s accommodation both before and after their train journey which we can book for you on request. This luxury train offers two non-stop weeklong journeys. Guests can spend their entire journey on board the train or exploring the destinations listed in the itinerary.
Can you book flights?
Golden Chariot does not include the cost of a flight for arrival or departure. However, we can assist you with schedules, prices and booking tickets on request. The luxury train tour starts and ends in Bangalore, the IT hub that offers connecting flights to both domestic and foreign cities.
What is the dress code on the Golden Chariot?
Guests are encouraged to dress in smart casual clothing and wear appropriate walking shoes during all off-train excursions. This is to complement the luxurious and refined experience of the Golden Chariot journey. You will need to bring swimwear if you choose the Splendour Of The South itinerary. This itinerary includes a visit to Poovar Beach in Kerala.
Can you cater for special dietary requirements?
It is best to inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time you book to avoid any disappointment or inconvenience. We want to make your trip a pleasant one and we expect you to support us in this.
Are porters included?
Porter service is available at the Golden Chariot train station for luggage.
Are there attendants on the train?
On board, a dedicated team of butlers will provide personalized service to guests. Butlers who are well-trained and moderately fluent in English should be able to communicate with guests.
Can Golden Chariot cater to wheelchair users?
Golden Chariot is the first luxury train that offers accommodation for physically challenged guests. A special cabin is available for guests with physical disabilities. It includes wheelchairs, creches, and a personal assistant. Please mention any special requirements at the time you book to avoid any last-minute hassles.
What is the electricity?
Golden Chariot also has 110/120 Volt sockets as well as international adaptors.
Can I smoke on the train?
According to Indian law, smoking is prohibited in public places, including public transport, restaurants and hotels, shopping centers, educational institutions, parks, etc.
Can I get Laundry done on the Golden Chariot?
You can use the laundry service on board at an additional cost to keep your clothes clean and neat throughout your journey.
Mobile phone usage
Keep your cell phone on silent mode when travelling by train or off-train excursions. This is to avoid disturbing other passengers and tourists. In your cabin, it is best to use your laptop and cell phone. While the train moves, guests may experience network problems. However, signals improve once the train stops.
Are tips included?
In India, gratuities are a common practice. However, if you pay a small amount every day for good service and hospitality, it could be a way to ensure that your experience is pleasant. Gratuities are included in the cost of your journey for services such as off-board guides and escorts, or on-board staff.

Golden Chariot Train tariff includes meals, accommodation, excursions, monument entrance fees, and transportation.
What is not included?
Tariff of Golden Chariot train does not include charges for telephone calls, camera fees and alcohol.
