About The Glacier Pullman Express Train
The luxury train features four original Pullman cars built in 1931. They once belonged to the Cie Internationale des Wagons–Lits et des Grands Express Europeens.
Rene Prou, a French cabinet maker, created the exquisite wooden inlay work on the carriages. Two Gourmino Dining Cars are also included in the train, which dates back to 1929 and 1930. Gourmino Dining Cars are known for their excellent food and exceptional service. All meals are prepared onboard using fresh produce from local farmers. Built in 1928, the Piano Bar Car was originally a dining car for Bernina Railway. It was converted to a bar in 2010.
These carriages were lovingly restored to the finest detail in compliance with current safety standards.
